  1. Current resume.
  2. Three (3) letters of recommendation, within the past three years and preferably from previous employers. Please attach all letters of recommendation in one document.
  3. Fingerprinting - This district requires final candidates to pay for their own background check. Fingerprinting is done by appointment only; please call Karla Milhollen at (406) 892-6550, ext. 1421. The cost is $30.00, payable by cash or check only, at the time of service. (Only if hired).
  4. MMR immunization records – If born after December 31, 1956, you will need to provide proof of immunity (titer test) or medical records verifying that your Measles, Mumps, and Rubella (MMR) vaccinations are up-to-date before the first day of work. (Only if hired.)
  5. Pre-employment physical (Only if hired.)

All employment offers are contingent upon providing complete MMR records, satisfactory results of the background check, pre-employment physical, and Board approval.

   

General Job Description

 

Hours:    8:00 AM – 11:45 a.m.

Reports to:  This individual will work under the direction of the Food Service Director.

 

Pay rate:  $14.33 at hire and $15.93 after 90 days

 

Job skill requirements:

  • This position requires physical stamina, and the successful candidate should expect to spend a good portion of the work day lifting, sorting, storing, and shipping food and supplies. 
  • This person should be well organized, analytical, have basic arithmetic skills, be able to follow instructions, and possess a willingness to learn.
  • This person must have the ability to collaborate and work well with others.
  • This individual knows how and is able to safely operate kitchen equipment, including but not limited to ovens, dish machines, cutting and serving utensils.
  • Ensure meals are served in accordance with federal guidelines, and must be able to accurately complete receiving and production records.
  • Knowledge of how to store food in accordance with SOP guidelines.
  • Perform cashier duties, and in addition to running a cash register, will need to be able to multitask, juggling an array of tasks related to cleaning and food service.
  • Ability to reconcile cash drawers, ensuring the money in their register accurately reflects the items sold at the end of their shift.
  • This individual will be Serve Safe certified or must become so after hire date.
  • Confidentiality, discretion, courtesy and diplomacy must be maintained at all times with public, parents, students and staff.

 

Physical requirements:

  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Requires continual standing, lifting, turning and bending.
  • Must be able to work in extreme temperatures, confined spaces, work with chemicals and smells commonly associated with cooking, cleaning and school in general.
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.
